At Mawnan, enrichment is an important part of the education we offer. We want every child to have opportunities to discover new interests, develop their God-given gifts, build confidence and experience success beyond the classroom.
Our after-school enrichment clubs provide children with an enjoyable and supportive environment where they can develop new skills, pursue their interests and spend quality time with friends. Clubs are led by our dedicated staff, wonderful volunteers and trusted specialist providers.
Our programme forms part of our wider Mawnan Enrichment Framework, through which we aim to provide children with a rich range of experiences across areas such as sport, music, the arts, creativity, outdoor learning, leadership and wider life experiences. We regularly review our offer so that children have opportunities to try something new as well as continue developing existing interests and talents.
Our enrichment programme is refreshed regularly throughout the year. At the beginning of each club programme, families receive one email containing links to the Google Forms for all available clubs. Separate sign-up forms are not emailed individually, so families should use the links within this communication to request places.
When a child joins a club, we ask families to support them in making a commitment to attend for the duration of the programme. This helps children gain the most from the experience and ensures that valuable places are not left unused. If your child is unable to attend a session, please let the adult leading the club know wherever possible.
Children who are already block-booked and paid for Wraparound Care until 5.30pm do not need to pay an additional charge to attend an enrichment club taking place during their booked session. (The exception to this is skateboarding, which is delivered by an external specialist provider and carries its own charge).
We are very proud of the breadth of opportunities available to our children and will continue to develop our enrichment offer so that every child has the chance to find something they love, challenge themselves and let their light shine.
